Germany Defeated

GERMANY had looked so fast, powerful, sharp and stylish coming into the World Cup semi-final that many had it down as favourite, despite the greater experience and pedigree of Spain.

But as impressive as the Germans were earlier in the cup, they simply did not deliver on the big occasion. It wasn’t to do with nerves or stage fright, despite their youth and inexperience. Quite simply, Joachim Loew’s exciting young team was outclassed on the night by a better team with better players who had plenty of big match knowhow.

The above paragraph was in the news and made me think about the game once more. Germany was the thing making me happy these days. it is sad to see that they are defeated.

I am a fan of Germany football team since 1990. It was 20 years ago when they made their way to victory. Hope to see them win in 2014 in Brazil.
